What Is Truth?

The age old question asked of Yashua Messiah by Pontius Pilate in 31 AD

So what is Truth? Can you, dear reader, answer this simple question? because Pilate certainly couldn’t answer it. So let’s copy the relevant Scriptures here:

John 18:37-38 (KJV) Pilate therefore said unto Him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto The Truth. Every one that is of The Truth heareth my voice. 38 Pilate saith unto Him, WHAT IS TRUTH? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in Him no fault at all.

So, having read the above Holy Scriptures, can you answer the question now? If not, I will explain. I emphasised the important sentence to help you: Every one that is of The Truth heareth my voice.

OK, let’s take the first part of that sentence: Everyone that is of The Truth. So are YOU of The Truth and can you confidently answer this question in the affirmative? And what did Yashua Messiah mean when He made this statement? How can we be OF The Truth??

In order to be of The Truth you must be: 1) Called of The Father to His Son. 2) You must confess that you are a sinner in need of forgiveness of ALL your sins. 3) You must ask The Father for forgiveness of those sins, which will include past, present and future sins. 4) You must then get Baptised into Yashua Messiah’s (Jesus Christ’s) name alone and not into the name of a heathen Trinity. 5) Having been raised out of the watery grave you must then receive the Gift of The Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands upon your head. You are now OF The Truth and this arrangement now applies to YOU:

John 14:20 (KJV) At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Once Yashua Messiah is in you then you are OF The Truth. You are now an intrinsic part of Yashua Messiah and He is an intrinsic part of you. Can you now see how Pontius Pilate could never, in a million years, have understood what The Truth is or was or what Yashua Messiah was saying to him?

Right, the second part of that sentence: heareth my voice. Well that’s very straight forward isn’t it? Once you are OF The Truth you will automatically be able to hear Yashua Messiah’s voice, because you are now a part of Him and He a part of you. So, what is Truth? The Truth is Yashua Messiah and as The Truth He was standing right in front of Pontius Pilate telling him The Truth which he couldn’t understand.
