1 John 1 – The First Chapter of John’s First Letter Explained

Introduction

Unravelling the unholy satanic mess that constitutes fakestream ‘Christian’ teaching on 1 John 1, and I exaggerate not. For when we read verses such as 1 John 3:6 which states: “Whosoever abides in Him DOES NOT SIN: whosoever sins hath not been made aware of Him, neither do they know Him.” and 1 John 3:9 which, in turn, states: “WHOSOEVER IS BORN OF YAH DOTH NOT COMMIT SIN; for His Spiritual Seed remains in him: AND HE CANNOT SIN, BECAUSE HE IS BORN OF YAH.”

And we then read 1 John 1:8 which states: “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and The Truth is not in us.” What kind of contradiction is going on here!!?? None, there is no contradiction at all! All there is, is just corrupt evil teaching on the verses of 1 John 1 that hold those of the Cainite-Judeo-Christian Religion in bondage and slavery to their ‘salvation by works’ guilt ridden hell. If you’re a part of that hell then it’s time to set yourselves free and into Yashua Messiah’s Glorious Light and His Glorious Saving Grace.

OK, before we start, there is one crucial element to this first chapter of 1 John that must be absorbed fully into our minds – bless ‘em, and that element is this:

1 John 1 is not addressed to born of Yah converts, that is, born again believers! How can this be, I hear you say, and if it is not addressed to Set Apart Exclusive Spirit Born believers, who is it addressed to? and how have ‘Bible scholars’, ministers, pastors and theologians got it so wrong and missed this crucial understanding of Yah’s Set Apart Word? Good question eh!?

Under the title Recipients in the NIV Study Bible they clearly state that The Epistle of 1 John is aimed at believers but, notice, they conveniently choose the starting point of 1 John Chapter 2, to erroneously and deviously try to prove their point, that is, they go straight to Chapter 2 and in the process by-pass 1 John Chapter 1 completely.

Why do they do that? They do it, because they know that to use the verses of 1 John 1 as being intended for those who are saved, born of Yah Christians (born again) creates far too many tricky anomalies, over which they would struggle and have to pontificate on for hours and hours and hours in order to explain away their satanic erroneous views. All this, whilst at the same time, never resolving those anomalies. Furthermore, we also need to know that the NIV was the work of a committee of philosophical Bible intellectuals and theologians, who were always men with their own intellectual religious agenda, the Cainite-Judeo-Christian Religious agenda. (See link No. 1 below). Unfortunately, this religious agenda is not Yashua Messiah’s Spiritual agenda, and it never was.

Now, on top of that, there are two further factors of gross misunderstanding at work here, as well. The first and most important factor is the error of reading the epistles as if they were, and are, written for the benefit of the converted alone. In fact, this is a common failure of most fakestream Christian teaching.

The second factor, which leads back to the first factor is this: Paul’s epistles are mostly, but not always, aimed at the converted, or those being called, that is, those that are Spiritually aware. This means that the above mentioned ‘Scriptural authorities’ jump to the conclusion that all the epistles that follow Paul’s epistles are also written to the same type of audience, to Learners (disciples), newbies or Spiritual beginners and mature born of Yah (born again) believers alike.

This is what I call catastrophic ‘one size fits all’ teaching or, declaring as if to people with all the same level of Spiritual maturity, knowledge, and understanding but, as I will prove, this is definitely not the case in 1 John 1.

As an example, let’s consider this scene. Everyone is in ‘church’ on a Sunday and a Spiritual message is delivered. Now this message maybe for those new to The Faith, or it maybe for Spiritual children, or it maybe for mature believers; some will say “is there a difference?” Well Paul certainly thought there was, because he withheld his meaty teaching from certain assemblies because they weren’t ready for it:

1 Corinthians 3:2 (MCV) I have fed you with infant’s milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

I have only ever met one pastor who differentiated or separated his flock for teaching. Why did he do this? After I have explained 1 John 1 I hope you will understand why he did.

So, if 1 John 1 is not aimed at, or addressed to born of Yah (born again) believers, to whom is it aimed or addressed, and what are the issues at stake here in this passage of Set Apart Scripture?

Is the issue sin? Well yes, of course it is, but then again, NO! It’s more than that. The emphasis in 1 John 1 is more to do with attitude toward sin, a preparedness to admit to being a sinner, a willingness to confess those sins for the first time. This, in turn, means a willingness to be honest and truthful, and a willingness and desire to repent, an inner desire to want to change for the better, and to change our thinking and from our old ways. Being prepared to not live in a state of denial; a delusional state of mind of not kidding oneself – The Truth.

Moreover, are there any other issues? Yes, absolutely, the evil damage the miss-use of the verses of 1 John 1 cause to those already born of Yah (born again), that is, the spiritual abuse inflicted on The Father’s children by ravening wolves in pulpits.

So, without further ado, and before I get into the meat of this passage of Set Apart Scripture, we need to FULLY UNDERSTAND the crucial opening verses of 1 John 1:

1 John 1:1-5 (MCV) Verse 1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of The Word of Life (Yashua Messiah);

Verse 2 For The Life (Yashua Messiah) was revealed and shown to us, and we have seen Him, and bear witness of His coming, and shew unto you that Eternal Life, which was with The Father, was revealed unto us.

Verse 3; That which we have seen and heard DECLARE we unto you, THAT YE ALSO MAY HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH US: and truly our fellowship is with The Father, and with His Son Yashua Messiah.

Verse 4; And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

Verse 5; This then is the message which we have heard of Him, AND DECLARE UNTO YOU, that Yah is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all.”

Look at these opening verses carefully and fully understand what’s going on!! “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard… ” John is immediately setting the scene, style and approach of this letter, or as some have commented – this sermon, that is, a letter to be read aloud to The Assemblies of Yah – The Ecclesia, but what exactly is the style or approach of this letter?

Answer: It’s as if it is all new to the listeners and, of course, it is, BECAUSE THE FIRST FIVE VERSES AMOUNT TO A DECLARATION and the word ‘declare’ appears twice in verses 3 & 5.

Now take this in and fully comprehend, FOR ONLY NEW NEWS IS DECLARED!! – no one ever declares old news, so these opening verses must be for the benefit of those who have not heard this message before. They were new to this message and teaching. Why would John ‘declare’ this news to those already converted? They already believe, don’t they? Have they not heard this message before? Of course they have, they knew very well that the Messenger John was an original Learner (disciple) of Yashua Messiah.

Have you noticed, too, the other important point here, a point more important than it being a declaration? I have put it in italicised all caps along with the word ‘declare’ – “That you also may have fellowship with us”. We need to understand this crucial point! This is telling us plainly and simply that these people are not yet in fellowship with the brethren of that Assembly; they are not yet in fellowship with the Christians of that locale. If you ignore this simple Truth then you do so at your peril.

OK, let’s now move on to the meaty part of this chapter, and notice, John opens it with the word ‘IF’ (famously known as the biggest word in the world!) and he says it five times! So let’s go through these five crucially important verses, one by one, and reveal the real message or Truth within them:

1) 1 John 1:6 (MCV) “IF we say that we have fellowship and company with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not The Truth:”

Straight away, John is stating an obvious fact; how can we say we have fellowship with Yashua Messiah and still walk in darkness? That would be totally impossible, and it is a total contradiction in terms and a contradiction of Spiritual reality? IT COULDN’T HAPPEN FOLKS!!

So who are THEY that walk in darkness? Who do YOU think they are? the fairies at the bottom of your garden!!?? Why, it’s those who are still in the world, and are of the world – the system, and are not saved; they are the lost, the fallen, the unsaved billions. They are those who live in darkness and they walk in darkness, all the time and, therefore, cannot “do The Truth”. Why can’t they “do The Truth”, because The Truth is not in them? Why, and how, is The Truth not in them? because they have not been called of The Father to His Son, Yashua Messiah, through His Set Apart Exclusive Spirit! They are not Baptised and born of Yah (born again) or born from above.

John 6:44 (MCV) NO MAN can come to me, except The Father which hath sent me drag (draw) him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:65 (MCV) And He said, Therefore said I unto you, that NO MAN can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

So why did John make this challenging, opening statement? Why? to help these potential new converts to examine themselves to see if The Father was calling them to His Son, or not, or to see if they were “doing The Truth” or had any desire “to do The Truth”.

Furthermore, if we say we have fellowship with Yashua Messiah and we are not learners (disciples), or not born of Yah (born again), then we are liars – plain and simple – there’s no half-way house, folks, for we cannot half “do the Truth”.

2) 1 John 1:7 (MCV) But IF we walk in The Light, as He is in The Light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Yashua Messiah His Son cleanses us from ALL sin.

Now what is John saying here when he says: “If we walk in The Light, as He is in the Light”? Let’s be clear, the word ‘in’ here is a poor translation, because the Yahavah Yashua Messiah is The Light, so He has to be able to walk ‘in’ The Light, for all The Light emanates from Him in the first place. The Yahavah Yashua Messiah never walked in light that came from elsewhere or from another source, and I will rewrite verse 5 for the proof of this fact:

1 John 1:5 (MCV) This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that Yah is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

Returning to verse 7, so what is John saying here? He is saying ‘If we’ Well, do we or don’t we? do we walk in The Light or not? or perhaps more importantly; how can we walk in The Light? That’s easy, too, or maybe it’s not so easy for some. We begin to walk in The Light by admitting that we are sinners in need of His Glorious Saving Grace and confessing our sins; being Baptised (full immersion) into Yashua Messiah’s name alone and receiving the free gift of the Set Apart Exclusive Spirit and becoming a Spirit led born of Yah (born again) son or daughter of Yah – a true Christian (see link No. 2 below).

So now we walk in The Light. Now we have fellowship one with another, as brothers and sisters, as Yashua’s Blood has cleansed us from, now notice this, ALL SIN. All sin means all sin, not some of our sins, but all of them!! Past, present and future, and don’t let any blasphemer or Old Covenant Judaising mongrel dog tell you otherwise.

NOW FOR THE MOST ABUSIVE, THROUGH SATANIC MISUSE, AND MISINTERPRETED VERSE IN ALL THE SET APART SCRIPTURES!

3) 1 John 1:8 (MCV) “IF we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and The Truth is not in us.”

OK, here’s another question: WHO is going to say that they have no sin? What type of man or woman is going to say they have no sin? Is an unbeliever going to say this, or someone The Father is calling to His Son through His Set Apart Exclusive Spirit? Or, in this case, are these potential converts going to admit that they are sinners, or not? Are they going to say that they have no sin or confess that they do have sin? If they are going to say they have no sin, they are then deceiving and deluding themselves and they are NOT being called.

Moreover, in this scenario of 1 John 1 The Father is probably calling some of them, and this question will challenge them and convict them, but not the others. Due to The Father’s calling, some of them will have a desire for The Truth, and some of them will not have a desire for The Truth, so who is not going to be truthful? Answers on the back of postage stamps, thank you!

Now notice the last part: “we deceive ourselves and The Truth is not in us”. If The Truth is not in someone, then they are of the world – of the system; fallen; servants of The Adversary, and not born of Yah (born again), and they do not have the indwelling of the Set Apart Exclusive Spirit. Now, if the Father is calling someone (see John 6:44 & 6:65 above), this potential convert’s awareness of sin is automatically enlivened; he or she will be made aware of their sins for the first time in their lives. Anyone reading this passage of Set Apart Scripture, too, will also be convicted of their sins for the first time in their lives, if they are being called. This is the whole purpose of 1 John 1 – not to abuse already born of Yah believers!!

However, if, on the other hand, we think this verse applies to converted Believers, or to those born of Yah (born again), let’s try and apply it to them and see if it makes any sense.

As an aside, I ask this question, for there are multiple millions of fakestream Christians out there, who have been Baptised (albeit erroneously into the trinity) and do believe that this verse applies to them! Then they wonder why they find no relief from guilt and reproach and no peace – ALWAYS thinking that they are SINNERS and NEVER experiencing the wondrous peace that passeth all understanding. This means they do not live under His Glorious Grace, but under condemnation of The Law and judged as sinners by that same The Law. If we then add in the abusive use of 1 John 1:8 we then have a double whammy of guilt layering!

OK, I’ve digressed a little there, but a very necessary digression. So, is a born of Yah (born again) son or daughter of Yah going to say they have no sin?

Hello! Excuse me! Well, the first thing a switched on believer will say to this question is something like this: I have a dead body of sin that sins, but I, the born of Yah (born again) Spiritual new man, do not sin, because I cannot sin. So that means I can tell you quite plainly that I have no sin, apart from the sin that’s in my dead body of sin, which is no longer me and The Father cannot see it! It’s just a vessel that I reside in until I am resurrected and my dead body of sin dies completely. This means, that if I tell you I have no sin, I cannot be deceiving myself and The Truth is definitely in me, as Paul confirms for us here TWICE!:

Romans 7:17 (MCV) So this means it is no more I that do it, that is, it is no more me, as the new creation, that sins, but, rather, the sin factor that dwells in my dead body of sin that died in the watery grave of Baptism with Yashua Messiah.

Romans 7:20 (MCV) Now, if I do that which I have the inner desire not to do, it is no more I that do it, but the sin factor that dwells in my dead body of sin. (See link No. 3 below).

However, if a newbie were to say they have no sin they would be lying and, by lying, would prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that The Truth was NOT in them.

Now, bearing all this in mind, can you see the nonsense of trying to apply this verse to born of Yah (born again) believers? This verse can only apply to the unconverted, and those being called by The Father to His Son Yashua Messiah for the first time – potential new converts. John is using this statement to invoke or to prompt repentance within the hearts of these new people whom The Father may, or may not, be calling to His Son Yashua Messiah.

4) 1 John 1:9 (MCV) IF we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness.”

John says, if we confess our sins. Now when do we do that? Well we know don’t we, at the time of our calling and/or at the time of our Baptism? We need to understand, too, that confession of sins is a one off event for those coming to Yashua Messiah. Repetitive confession of sins is not required of born of Yah (born again) sons and daughters of Yah. Repetitive confession of sins is just like Old Testament animal sacrifices, only without the animals. It’s the same old, same old, over and over and over again, only dressed up in scruffy and polluted Cainite-Judeo-Christian Religious clothes. (See link No. 4 below).

Moving on, John then tells us that if we do confess our sins, Yashua Messiah is Faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness, not some, or only part of our unrighteousness, but ALL our unrighteousness.

Born of Yah (born again) sons and daughters of Yah will have already confessed their sins; they are now walking in The Light and The Truth is now in them, so why would John re-teach this fundamental again, is he into preaching to the converted? No. True Believers who keep on believing are cleansed of all their sins, and this cleansing takes place at Baptism. This verse, as with the whole of 1 John 1, can only apply to those new to the Faith, and/or non believers being called. John, here, is encouraging those who were hearing the message for the first time to confess their sins for the first and only time. (See link No. 5 below).

5) 1 John 1:10 (MCV) IF we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us.

Now this verse is the Grace Killer’s favourite, and they use it to great effect in order to hold silly people in bondage and slavery to their “salvation by works” Judaising blasphemies. But what is it really saying when interpreted and applied correctly?

This verse just confirms and sums up what has already been said in the previous verses, with the added dimension of telling the new converts that if they profess that they want to be a follower of Yashua Messiah, and they say that they have not sinned, they make Him out to be a liar as well as themselves, and His Word and Truth is not in them.

However, if they are genuine newbies, this is yet another verse that will make them stop and think about what they are undertaking by becoming a True followers of Yashua Messiah and how The Truth and honesty must now be the order of the day – no more lies, no more denial and no more deceit.

In contrast, how could this verse apply to born of Yah (born again) sons and daughters of Yah? Quite simply, it couldn’t, because those born of Yah cannot sin, so this statement could only be aimed at or only apply to those being called out of this world – out of the system of sin and into His Glorious Light.
