Now dear brothers and sisters in Yashua Messiah – GET THIS and make sure you fully understand and comprehend what I am about to write here – for your Spiritual welfare and well being under Yashua Messiah’s Glorious Grace depends upon it:
These four supposed Holy Scriptural words are accursed – they are wholly false through hierarchy agenda motivated mistranslations. They are erroneous and evil beyond measure and the words are: OBEDIENCE – OBEDIENT – OBEY – OBEYED.
Of all the vile Cainite-Judeo-Christian Religious contaminations and corruptions in the New Testament of The King James Bible these words are amongst the worst, and I do not exaggerate one jot or tittle when saying this. I hate and detest these words so much that I cannot find words in the English language to describe the hatred I have for them. Why do you hate them so much, I here you ask, surely we’re meant to obey God aren’t we and KEEP His Commandments? How will we get to heaven if we’re not good little boys and girls or zombified automatons who do as we’re told?
Well, first off, we’re not going to heaven!! The Father God and Yashua Messiah (The Lord Jesus Christ) are coming down out of heaven to make their home with us – with men and women on a New Earth in a New Jerusalem under a New Heaven (atmosphere) (See Revelation 21).
Secondly, “keeping” the Commandments, from the Greek word tereo means keeping a watch or an eye on, guarding and/or holding as special and precious. This is a heart thing, a voluntary thing, a willingness from within thing, an inner desire to want to keep the Commandments voluntarily, because The Law is now written on our hearts. This is not an outward legalistic thing requiring obedience or enforcement to rules or regulations.
Even from the Holy Scriptures of Old Covenant times, the Psalmist encapsulates the Spirit of this matter:
Psalm 32:9 (KJV) Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee. (Emphasis mine)
And so did Moses:
Exodus 20:6 (KJV) And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
That is, hold the commandments dear and precious not OBEY.
So there we have it; those who obey or those who are bridled (controlled or ruled over) have no understanding and they’re as dumb as mules. Well that’s legalists and salvation by works types for ya’.
Moreover, let’s take it a step further and ask a question: Where is Grace in obedience? If we have to obey God or anyone else for that matter, where is the Grace in that? If I were to ask another question it would be this: Where is The Law or The Ten Commandments in obedience? I would answer everywhere, in every aspect and part of it, in every little nook and cranny of it. Obedience and The Law go hand in hand and they are very close companions but, The Law was nailed to the cross, so obedience lost his buddy!!
There was, and is, a new kid in town called Grace and he was the best thing since sliced bread and he replaced The Law so The Law had to leave town ‘cos town wasn’t big enough for the two of them and this left poor old redundant obedience without a friend in the world. Well that’s just too bad ‘cos Grace has set me free and there’s no way I’m going back to the slavery of obedience under The Law and/or The Ten Commandments which are just a summary of The WHOLE Law.
OK, I’ve used a very simple analogy here, but another question we are left with is this: If Grace has come in – and it has, why is there still this need to obey, according to The King James Bible, when Grace does not go hand in hand with obedience – one is totally alien to the other. Grace goes hand is hand with love, belief, trust, faith, hope and freedom. Obedience only goes hand in hand with The Law and as soon as The Law was taken out of the way, obedience was unemployed; he was kicked out of his job – period. Obedience is out of a job because he has nothing in common with Grace and there is nothing he can do. To Grace he’s unemployable, he has all the wrong ‘skills’ and would not fit into Grace’s work place, it would be like offering a brain surgeon’s job to a career politician!
Having said all that I can now hear you saying: but the four words you have listed above are in the New Testament in dozens of verses so they cannot all be wrong, the evidence is overwhelming, surely? Well you might think so based on the number times these words are used, but numerous usages, don’t make them correct. If the first usage is false and erroneous, and is then just repeated over and over and over again, all it boils down to is a repeat of the same blasphemous error. Let’s be frank, for what we’re dealing with here is the Cainite-Judeo-Christian Religious agenda of the translators and nothing else. Their remit via this agenda was to support and continue their fear based Cainite-Judeo-Christian Religion and its hold over its deceived and fear ridden lemming followers.
Furthermore, the concept of their corrupt views of the nature of the Godhead i.e. a godhead of tyranny, the godhead of permanent wrath or the ogre god godhead had to be maintained. This tyrannical ogre god that must always be obeyed is not the Godhead of The Creation, of Love, Grace, Mercy, Peace and Forgiveness who sent His Son to be a redemptive sacrifice for all mankind – this Son of God who was to become an eldest Brother and friend to all the other sons and daughters that The Father God would be calling to Himself and His Son.
Now here is another question to bring this issue into a proper perspective: when did you last obey your friend or your brother (if you have one)? What kind of friendship would it be if your friend was always bossing you around and expecting you to obey him or her? As you can see this whole idea is farcical, it’s a joke, and yet this is exactly what the Cainite-Judeo-Christian Religion would have you believe, if you follow their wicked errors that they believe are not errors.
However, before I press on with the real meaning of these words we need to understand why we are discussing them in the first place. What’s it all about? Easy, it’s all about that other Satanic word: Authority – authority where? Why, in their ‘churches’ of course. In order for there to be obedience in their ‘churches’ or for people to have to obey, there must be someone in authority, you know, lording it over them and bossing everyone around, but is this arrangement Biblical? Is it something that has God’s blessing? No, not a chance, in fact, the opposite is The Truth. Yashua Messiah (The Lord Jesus Christ) hates this system and He tells us so in no uncertain terms – twice, so we get it through our thick skulls:
Revelation 2:6 (KJV) But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.
Revelation 2:15 (KJV) So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.
Ever wondered who these Nicolaitane people were or are? That’s easy too. They’re tyrants in fancy robes and Dagon fish hats who lead the procession in their Stasi jackboots and lord it over their flocks, it’s an authoritative system of hierarchies and pecking orders and it is something Yashua Messiah (The Lord Jesus Christ) hates:
‘Nikao’ = to conquer or rule. ‘Laitane’ or ‘Lao’ = the laity. To conquer and rule over the laity or to lord it over the flocks – something Yashua Messiah (The Lord Jesus Christ) hates.
The whole idea of authority in the church with all it’s obedience and obeying is not looking good folks and if you’ve got one of those Hammer and Sickle arm band types in your local congregation, I reckon it’s time you did yourself a favour and got out of there fast!
All you need to know is that the first century Congregations of God were egalitarian in make up. Elders and pastors were overseers and there were no such things as bishops. The title ‘bishop’ is a totally religious fabrication. Elders were, as their name suggested, older members of the congregation, men with much experience, but none of them were leaders in authority. We are all Christian brothers and sisters together and all equal in The Father’s sight.
If we now look at the real meaning of the four words listed above and apply what I have shown to be The Truth of this issue i.e. that it is a heart thing not a law thing we will then begin to see the blasphemy in the usage of these words. With all four words, the majority of uses are covered mostly by two Greek words. We will now go to Strong’s Concordance for some guidance:
Obey: G5219 – hupakouo – hoop-ak-oo’-o – From G5259 and G191; to hear under (as a subordinate), that is, to listen attentively; by implication to heed or conform to a command or authority: – hearken, be obedient to, obey.
Obey: G3982 – peitho – pi’-tho – A primary verb; to convince (by argument, true or false); by analogy to pacify or conciliate (by other fair means); reflexively or passively to assent (to evidence or authority), to rely (by inward certainty): – agree, assure, believe, have confidence, be (wax) content, make friend, obey, persuade, trust, yield.
Now these are the other Greek words that the translators interpreted as obey or obedience so we can see this word ‘obey’ became pretty flexible.
Obey: G5218 – hupakoe – hoop-ak-o-ay’ – From G5219; attentive hearkening, that is, (by implication) compliance or submission: – obedience, (make) obedient, obey (-ing).
Obey: G544 – apeitheo – ap-i-theh’-o – From G545; to disbelieve (wilfully and perversely): – not believe, disobedient, obey not, unbelieving.
Obey: G3980 – peitharcheo – pi-tharkh-eh’-o – From a compound of G3982 and G757; to be persuaded by a ruler, that is, (generally) to submit to authority; by analogy to conform to advice: – hearken, obey (magistrates).
Obey: G1096 – ginomai – ghin’-om-ahee – A prolonged and middle form of a primary verb; to cause to be (“gen” -erate), that is, (reflexively) to become (come into being), used with great latitude (literally, figuratively, intensively, etc.): – arise be assembled, be (come, -fall, -have self), be brought (to pass), (be) come (to pass), continue, be divided, be done, draw, be ended, fall, be finished, follow, be found, be fulfilled, + God forbid, grow, happen, have, be kept, be made, be married, be ordained to be, partake, pass, be performed, be published, require, seem, be showed, X soon as it was, sound, be taken, be turned, use, wax, will, would, be wrought.
Obedience: G5293 – hupotasso – hoop-ot-as’-so – From G5259 and G5021; to subordinate; reflexively to obey: – be under obedience (obedient), put under, subdue unto, (be, make) subject (to, unto), be (put) in subjection (to, under), submit self unto.
Obedient: G5255 – hupekoos – hoop-ay’-ko-os – From G5219; attentively listening, that is, (by implication) submissive: – obedient.
Now as we look at all these different Greek words, some of which are similar, we find in English two words that stand out and are repeated several times and these words are “attentive hearkening or listening” and I will be returning to these words later.
What I want to do first is draw your attention to Mr Strong’s emphasis in one or three examples of his definitions. In G5219 he adds the phrase ‘as a subordinate’, but is this correct. I have already explained that there is no system of rankings, pecking orders, status or hierarchies in the Church of God so why does Mr Strong put this strange phrase in? Easy to meet with approval of the leaders of the Cainite-Judeo-Christian Religion. To Mr Strong the Church would be the counterfeit church with all its tiers of authority, so subordination would be the order of the day in Mr Strong’s Christian Religious world, but as I said, is it correct?
If we use the example of university students who attend lectures they attentively listen to the lecturer, not as subordinates or as little children, but young people gaining maturity and attending the lecture because they want to be there in order to learn from a man of greater knowledge and experience than themselves, but he has no authority over them. They are not subordinate to him and if they choose not to attend that’s up to them, they are the losers not the lecturer. So here we can plainly see that this is about listening attentively but doing it voluntarily not because they have to obey anyone.
We can now return to Psalm 32:9 that I quoted earlier; these students are not bridled, nor do they have bits in their mouths and they are not as mules, they are free to decide what they want to do. They are like Martha and Mary:
Luke 10:38-42 (KJV) Now it came to pass, as they went, that He entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received Him into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard His word. (Attentive hearkening or listening) 40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to Him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. 41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. (Brackets mine)
Here we can plainly see that Martha decided to make herself busy with many household chores and Mary sat at The Lord’s feet – VOLUNTARILY. The words obey – obeyed – obedient – obedience are nowhere to be found in this wonderful story of love, wisdom and freedom of choice. Mary, out of love and respect for Yashua Messiah sat and listened or hearkened attentively, she didn’t have to obey Him. He didn’t say: “Now Mary come and sit at my feet and learn something!” She was wise and chose to listen, while her sister chose to busy herself with less important things. None of this is about obedience any more than it’s about obedience for any Born Again son or daughter of God; it’s all about choices and the freedom to make those choices maturely whether right or wrong.
I will finish here and expound further on the misapplication of the above listed Greek words in part 2. I will also cover the subject of whether Yashua Messiah learned obedience or not.
