As a Christian, Do You See Yourself As Redeemed or As a Redeemed Sinner?

Why am I asking this question? I am asking it because as sons or daughters of God you can only be one of these things or only carry one of these titles, you cannot, in Truth, carry the other, it’s impossible. Now some of you may ask the question; is there any difference? I will answer, there most assuredly is. In fact the difference is so vast; it’s like a chasm the size of the Grand Canyon. Oh come on, I hear some of you say, but I say, yes, it’s true what I say.

OK, so let’s get straight to the point, what is the difference, for it’s more than semantics or language games? The difference is wrapped up in how members of the Cainite-Judeo-Christian Religion (Mainstream Christians) use this term ‘Redeemed Sinner’, for, in reality, this term is an identity tag, a label or a title. If, as a True Believer or Born Again son of God, you go around telling people you are a redeemed sinner you are automatically giving them a confused image, a mixed signal or a weird idea. You see, they could come back at you with the question: “well, are you redeemed or are you a sinner – are you still a sinner or are you now redeemed?”

Moreover, if these questions were asked, they would be very pertinent questions indeed, and questions that any non-believer would be entitled to ask of you. The issue here is how would you answer them and what explanation would you give them? Here is an example of what you could say; “I am a sinner who is redeemed.” Hello, excuse me, you’re a what!? “I am a sinner who is redeemed” Hang on a minute, don’t you mainstream Christians teach that sinners are going to hell? “Yes, but I am redeemed so I am not going to hell.” No, you didn’t say you were redeemed, you said you were a redeemed sinner, now which is it!?

Do you see the point I am making here – I do hope so? The name tag ‘redeemed sinner’ which many Christians carry around like a cloud and in most cases without even knowing the meaning, keeps them in bondage and slavery to sin. How, when they are supposedly saved? Easy, because they still see themselves as sinners. I have already explained, and showed, how it would confuse non-believers, but what does it do to those who carry this title or identity? Simple, it confuses them, too, and even more so, whether consciously or sub-consciously, or worse, both. Many of you will have heard it used hundreds of times and never seriously considered the implications of its use. So, without further ado here is the profound but simple explanation.

If you are Born of God (Born Again) and you are therefore a son or daughter of God then you are redeemed or saved; that’s it, there is nothing more to it; Yashua Anointed’s sacrifice was a complete redemptive sacrifice and through His sacrifice all of our sins – past, present and future were dealt with at the cross. This, though, is only half of the wonderful gift, for His Resurrection gave all of us, i.e. all those who believe in Him and express that belief through Faith, a new identity. I cannot emphasise this Truth strongly enough, for, it is crucial to your Spiritual well-being and welfare.

You see, this title ‘redeemed sinner’ doesn’t even say what the bearers of it would like it to say i.e. that I was a sinner and now I am redeemed. This title ‘redeemed sinner’ is used by them in the present tense and if we say we are redeemed sinners then we are admitting that we are still sinners and redeemed at the same time. This is impossible, because: 1) sinners cannot inherit the Kingdom of God and 2) if we are ‘redeemed sinners’ then we are neither one thing nor the other and it’s no use us using the excuse that we need to be reminded of our wicked past when our Father in heaven has not only forgiven all our sins, but forgotten them as well:

Psalm 103:11-12 (KJV) For as the heaven is high above the earth [so] great is the mercy toward them that fear (love and revere) Him. As far as the east is from the west [so] far hath He removed our transgressions?”

If the Father God has forgotten our past and all our sins why do we need to remind ourselves of them through the use of this nasty little name tag or title!!?? The answer to this is very simple; we are Redeemed, plain and simple; nothing more and nothing less. Our sinful past is behind us – gone forever. We now have a new identity; Sons or Daughters of God, Kings, Royal Priests, Brothers and Friends of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Have you noticed the absence of the word ‘sinner’ from all these wonderful titles? In fact, there is no such thing as a redeemed sinner for as I said earlier, sinners cannot inherit The Kingdom of God only those who are perfect in The Father’s sight; those who are Redeemed. Redeemed sinners are not perfect, because they are still sinners.

Now, if you are Born of God (Born Again) you must begin to see yourselves as The Father sees you – perfect and sinless and in a new positive light, for that is where you are now walking – in the Light, for The Light is Yashua Anointed.

Finally, if you are in any doubt about what I have said above, here is some Biblical proof:

Titus 2:14 (KJV) Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

From the Living Bible it reads:

Titus 2:14 (TLB) He died under God’s judgement against our sins, so that He could rescue us from constant falling into sin and make us His very own people with cleansed hearts and real enthusiasm for doing kind things for others.

Notice the term from the KJV: “Redeem us from ALL iniquity” not some of our iniquities, so we can continue to call ourselves ‘redeemed sinners’. Let it sink in, once all our iniquities are redeemed, that is, when we confess those iniquities at Baptism, we are redeemed completely and there is no half way house. Non existent half way houses are for redeemed sinners, so get with it and start to see yourselves in this amazing new light, for that is where you are now walking – in The Light and Redeemed, if you are truly Born of God (Born Again).

  1. So what happens if you are truly born again and you sin.does that mean you are no longer saved ?

    • It’s not my definition. Anything that transgresses God’s Perfect Law is a sin. However missing the mark and falling away is a far bigger sin and not a sin as in the ordinary sense, like telling a lie or fornicating.

      • We are all sinners by nature. Read romans chapter 7:13-25 in which Paul writes about sin and says that with the flesh we serve the law of sin.Read also pslam 51 King david asking God for forgivenss. And king David was a man after God owen heart.

      • Psalm 51 is Old Covenant – period.

We are sinners by NATURE IN THE FALLEN CONDITION – LIKE FALLEN ADAM AND EVE.

        Some questions for you:

        1) If you are still a sinner, how will you or how can you enter The Kingdom of God???????

        2) Why have you not focussed on Romans 7:17 and Romans 7:20 which are the crucial verses in that chapter?

Romans 7:17 (KJV) Now then IT IS NO MORE I THAT DO IT, but sin that dwelleth in me.

Romans 7:20 (KJV) Now if I do that I would not, IT IS NO MORE I THAT DO IT, but sin that dwelleth in me.

He tells you twice so that you fully understand.

        3) What happens to your body when Baptised (full immersion)?

YOU: “and says that with the flesh we serve the law of sin.”

        You missed the IMPORTANT PART:

Romans 7:25 (KJV) So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God

I want answers to all three questions.

        Thanks for your comment.

      • @ Manuel Govea

I am in receipt of your latest comment, but you have not answered even one question. Answer ALL THREE QUESTIONS and I will then publish your comment.

Please note that I am not interested in your dissembling distractions based upon your Spiritual and Scriptural blindness and ignorance.

  2. Maybe you can explain this. If we are forgiven for all our sins when we are born again.
James 5:20 “cover a multitude of sin”

    • Who was James speaking to? Were they all saved or were there some there who were as yet not born of God?

James 5:20 (KJV) Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

The individual involved was a sinner. Sinners are not born of God.

  3. I wish and pray that I can be perfect like Jesus however I do not believe it is possible.I just do the best I can. There are only going to be two people in heaven if God expects us to be 100% perfect in this life.I would have said three a week ago.LOL

    • Once born of God you are perfect. How can imperfection enter The Kingdom of God? Have you washed your bridal gown in His blood or not? Is your bridal gown unspotted for having done so – if so, what more can you do?

Meditate on these Scriptures and internalise them:

1 John 3:9 (KJV) Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1 John 3:6 (KJV) Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him.

1 John 3:3 (KJV) And every man that hath this hope in Him purify himself, even as He is pure.

      • 1 John 3:9
we are not born of God we are born of man.Is this not correct ?

      • Physically we are born of man, unless a Canaanite. Canaanites are born of The Devil.

To be saved YOU, if you are man, you must be born of God in the Baptismal pool where you die and then receive the gift of The Holy Spirit – you are then a born a new sinless being = perfect.

  4. Did you not say you used to smoke after being born again ,How long after you were born again did it take you to quit, and were you a sinner while you were trying to quit ?

  5. I know what sin is. I asked God and he revealed it to me.
Sin is what you believe it is . I you believe it is a sin to eat Pork then guess what , it is.

    • You cannot know what ALL sins are. You may be sinning without even knowing that you are sinning. If you think that eating pork is a sin then you’re in error for The Law was nailed to cross. The Dietary Laws were a part of the Old Covenant Mosaic Law. There is now a New Covenant. To love God with your whole being and to love your fellow man as yourself – that’s it – fini – end of.

  6. I believe we all get judged in the end believers and non believers.
The difference is when you become a believer your past sins have been forgiven and forgotten however some were in the bible it says that to those that much has been given much is expected. This is not an exact quote and I don’t know where I read it.

    • No, you’re totally wrong, there is no judgement for those born of God – period. Where is the salvation in what you are saying?

Only those who invoke and live under The Law are judged – in fact they are condemned already by that same Law.

      • I didn’t say you are not saved. I believe once saved always saved . All I am saying is we will still have to pay for sins we commit after we are born again and that the judgement will be more sever because we should know better.

      • No, there is no payment for sins if you’re born of God, He took them ALL to the stake/cross, and has cast them from His sight as far as the east is from the west. So if He can’t see them why are you bringing them to His attention – AGAIN!!!!!?????

You MUST understand this basic about forgiveness or you will never be free of guilt and reproach.

Out of interest how do you think YOU could pay? How does clay pay The Potter? Think about it.

    • You’re not born again until you receive the gift of The Holy Spirit at Baptism. The old man MUST DIE in the watery grave and then receive The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit cannot reside with a live body of sin.

    • It’s not a matter of what you’re allowed to do, it’s ALL about what YOU WANT TO DO. If you want to sin then you’re NOT BORN AGAIN and you’re NOT being called by The Father. If your DESIRE is NOT TO SIN then you ARE being called by The Father to His Son and will want to be Baptised.

You in this life are never going to stop sinning but once born of God your new man will not be sinning only your old man. The bottom line here is what is YOUR attitude to sin? Is it a desire to sin or a desire NOT to sin.

  7. I have been born again and I do sin a little. Are you saying my future sins have already been forgiven ?

    • You must get your focus OFF of sin – we all sin – period and will sin until we die.

As I have already said it is your attitude to sin that matters. Are you sinning with zeal and looking forward to your next sin? If so then you’re not born of God. If your desire is not to sin then you are either being called or are born of God.

  8. Any way enough bantering back and forth ,you are debating with a complete dumb ass (me)
I haven’t even read the bible. I’m thinking maybe God is sending you some thing to think about.
Let me know if you ever come to Ontario, you and your wife are welcome to stay with me for free . I will even feed you and give you bottled water to drink,How ever you will sin every time you take a shower because we have fluoride and chlorine in the water.LOL

  9. Of course I don’t want to sin but I don’t want to smell ether , so I still shower in water that is harmful to my body, which I thought was mine until a couple of months ago.

    • No, smoking is a option or choice, bathing and showering isn’t unless you want to go dirty and stale bacteria is probaly more harmful to you than chlorine and flouride. If you’re concerned then shower less and pray to Him that the chemicals do you no harm.

  10. I follow a Paleo diet and yes we can obtain organic food which fortunately I can afford but then I wonder , what about all those people that can not afford good food . It doesn’t seem fair, but who am I to judge.

    • Most people, even if they could afford good food, would choose not to buy it. I have helped with the homeless in London in the past and if you give them money they will only buy booze and drugs. I have taken them to a cafe to buy them a meal and they refuse it.

You just enjoy the blessings He has given you.

  11. You are absolutely correct .my grocery bill actually dropped by 25% when I stopped buying junk food.

  12. I read some were it is like cash or credit.Non believers owe on there credit card where as believers pay while they are still alive.
    What do you think?

  13. I found it : Luke 12:48
Just because we were forgiven once doesn’t mean we won’t be judged again if we Knowingly sin. Which I agree a true believer would not want to do.

    • Wrong!! Once you’re forgiven, you’re forgiven – period. You’re now a new creation that doesn’t sin. It’s your old body that sins, not you.

Romans 8:1 For there is now no condemnation for those who are in Jesus Christ.

Luke 12:48 is refering to false or fake Christians – those that have fallen away.

  14. OK so if you are a new creation that can not sin , then how can you fall away. fall away from what?

    • MANY are called, FEW are chosen.

John 6:65 (KJV) And He said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
John 6:66 (KJV) From THAT many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him.

They turned away from Yashua Messiah – they fell away. They could not accept The Truth that The Father had called them. They obviously thought it was their decision to follow Yashua Messiah not The Father’s decision to call them.

Also, they were Baptised, but had not as yet received the gift of The Holy Spirit. Many mainstream Christians are like that today and teach the lie that you must accept a ‘Jesus’ as your saviour when it’s The Father’s decision and His decision alone to call us.

  15. Also do you know that good people that do not know Jesus but live by God’s natural law and chose good over evil will also be saved

    • No such thing as God’s natural law. The world around you is very unnatural – fallen since The Garden – animals preying on other animals = unnatural. Lions will chew grass in The Millennium and snakes no longer poisonous etc. etc.

The lost and unsaved are not in the equation at this time. They will live their lives and die. This age is all about True followers of The Way – Yashua Messiah (THE FEW) versus fake Christians (THE MANY) and the Canaanite Jews – The Devil’s Seed – The Tares. The former, who will be cast into outer darkness in the first resurrection, unless they repent, and the latter will burned up at harvest time – The Tares.

The lost and unsaved will have their turn in the second resurrection at the end of The Millennium – after the 1,000 years is over and the earth and atmosphere fly away and there is a New Earth and New Atmosphere brought down out of heaven by The Father.

    • Nonsense, they walked with Him and then stopped walking with Him. They could not have walked with Him at all unless they were called. But in their stiff necked rebelious minds refused to acknowledge that they had been called. They were full of pride and vanity – just like mainstream Christians today who, like them, refuse to admit that they have been called.

  16. I agree about the millennium .
God’s natural laws are that people know instinctually what is good or evil

    • That is the fallen condition. Adam and Eve ate of the ‘fruit’ of the Tree of The Knowledge of GOOD and EVIL. Fallen people can therefore do good or they can do evil, but they’re still fallen.

Now in the resurrection will those who have done good in this life score some points? Yes I am sure they will, but their fallen goodness will not save them – only their confession and belief in Yashua Messiah will save them.

  17. I will have to get back to you latter on this.
My poor lost friend who is still living under the law just called and invited me over.

    • If he invokes The Law upon himself then he is not lost as are the lost i.e. he is not ignorant of the Scriptures – he is aware, just as The Pharisees were aware.

If he is truly lost then he is under The Law without knowing i.e. he lives in ignorance.

  18. He has been a believer for 50 years .Unfortunatly he does not understand what he has been reading in the KJB and the living church of God cult is not helping any.
Are you saying I should not try to show him the truth ?

    • Oh dear, one of the dreaded Armstrong WCG splinters. I used to be a member of the parent WCG, so I know how they work – through domination, fear based manipulation and mind control – like most cults including the Roman Cult.

No, not at all, you do your best to persuade and/or convict him. He needs to hear The Truth and that there is no salvation in obedience to The Law, none – zilch – zero.

Everything was done for him, you and me at the stake/cross. We can do nothing other than follow Him with a desire not to sin.

All you can do at this stage is GENTLY sow seeds – whether or not he is fertile soil and will receive those seeds will remain to be seen. I will pray about this.

  19. I attended two of there meetings when I didn’t know any better and was in search of a true church. When I discovered the truth they kicked me out and told me there members were not ready for the truth.Am I allowed to hope these satanic bastards burn in hell?
Anyway I do plug away at trying to get him to do more research.
I like him because he also believes in conspiracy TRUTH,and there don’t seem to be many people like us.

    • Wow!!! Not ready for The Truth???????? Boy, I wouldn’t want to be in their shoes in the resurrection!!!

No I wouldn’t wish them harm, but rest assured their future will not be an easy ride when they fall into the hands of our Saviour.

And yes keep plugging away with The Truth, especially about Grace and how we’re saved.
