Matthew 22:14 (KJV) For MANY Are CALLED, but FEW Are CHOSEN.
John 6:44 (MCV) NO MAN can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw (drag) him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:65-66 (MCV) And He said, Therefore said I unto you, That NO MAN can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. 66 From THAT many of His learners went back, and walked no more with Him.
1 Samuel 3:4 (KJV) That the Lord called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I.
Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV) Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
John 4:23 (KJV) But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship The Father in Spirit and in Truth: for The Father seeketh such to worship him.
John 6:37 All that The Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
John 6:70 (KJV) Jesus answered them, Have not I CHOSEN you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
John 15:16 (MCV) Ye have not CHOSEN me, but I have CHOSEN you, and placed you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of The Father in my name, He may give it you.
Above are the most important Holy Scriptures that deal with and explain the Christian calling, and if you are paying attention, you will notice that NONE of them mention the ‘acceptance’ of a ‘Jesus’ as your saviour – a blasphemous satanic idea conjured up by fake Christians of the Cainite-Judeo-Christian Religion with their fake Jesus.
Now this article has come about due to an argumentative so and so, on Youtube comments, who claimed that Yashua Messiah does the calling and choosing as well as the Father, and he cited John 6:70 as his reason for this belief. He argued that Judas was also called and chosen even though Yashua Messiah made it plain that Judas was a devil and a son of perdition. One wonders what’s going on in their addled brains.
However, was he correct in making these claims? and why is it that these lying creatures love to create contradictions. All this when Yashua Messiah also made it very plain, that NO MAN can come to Him unless The Father draws or, better, DRAGS them to Him? John 6:44 is the gold standard precedent for this whole Christian calling topic. Any other Scriptures that are subject related to it MUST be treated as complimentary Scriptures, not manipulated into contradictory Scriptures. A favourite pastime of these ignorant evil people.
OK, so what have we got? In John 6:44 we have The Father doing the calling and choosing, and then we get Yashua Messiah ‘choosing’ The Twelve Learners, including Judas. However, the last part of John 6:44 says this: “And I will raise him up at the last day.” So will Judas be raised up at the last day? Not a chance, so this ‘choosing’ of Yashua Messiah’s must be a different kind of choosing from The Father’s calling and choosing in John 6:44. And would you believe it, when we look at the Greek Manuscripts what do you think we will find? Answer: TWO WORDS with slightly different meanings.
For the word ‘chosen’ in Matthew 22:14 we get ‘eklektos’ (G1588) and for the word ‘chosen’ in John 6:70 we get ‘eklegomai’ (G1586) and here are Strong’s definitions:
Chosen – G1588 – ἐκλεκτός eklektós, ek-lek-tos’; from G1586; select; by implication, favorite:—chosen, elect.
Chosen – G1586 – κλέγομαι eklégomai, ek-leg’-om-ahee; middle voice from G1537 and G3004 (in its primary sense); to select:—make choice, choose (out), chosen.
You will notice that the second definition lacks the word ‘elect’, which means that we’re dealing with two kinds of choosing here. It also means that when Yashua Messiah ‘chose’ his Twelve Learners, the Father had already called them previously by visiting them through His Holy Spirit. How do we know this? Easy, just read these Holy Scriptures:
John 6:45 (KJV) It is written in The Prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of The Father, cometh unto me.
A slightly better rendering from The Concordant Literal Translation:
John 6:45 (CLV) It is written in The Prophets: And they shall all be taught of God. Everyone, then, who hears from The Father and is learning The Truth, is coming to Me.
Matthew 4:18-19 (MCV) And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishermen. 19 And He saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Matthew 8:21-23 (MCV) And another of His learners said unto Him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead. 23 And when He was entered into a ship, His learners followed Him.
Notice, first, in John 6:45 how The Father teaches us and makes us receptive to hearing The Truth, and so it would have been for the twelve learners before they even met Yashua Messiah.
Notice, second, how these young men followed without a word, without any objections and without a single question or protest or argument. It was an instantaneous “YES SIR!” even from the one who felt the need to bury his father first. They all dropped what they were doing and willingly followed Him.
Now if we refer back to John 6:44 we find that The Father’s call involves drawing (dragging) people to Yashua Messiah, which must mean that when The Father initially called Peter, Andrew and the others there must have been some resistance, perhaps even strong resistance, active and operational in their minds. Peter, especially, whom we know was wilfully strong minded, and yet when Yashua Messiah turns up at the lake side and says stop your fishing and come follow me, both brothers do so without a murmer – not a single word of objection. This tells us that it was not the first divine intervention in their lives. They must have had some communication from The Father prior to Yashua Messiah turning up. This means Yashua Messiah’s arrival at the lake side and His subsequent instruction for them to follow Him was a mere formality – inwardly they had been expecting Him.
Moreover, if we return to the subject of the two Greek words ‘eklektos’ and eklegomai’ we can now see why they are used, for they have two slightly different meanings. One is the overarching ‘chosen’ as in the calling and choosing of all the Elect, who will be raised up at the last day, and the other, a more personalised ‘choosing’ of the Twelve Learners (who had already been called by The Father) by Yashua Messiah, including one who was a devil. With regards to Judas we must take on board that he was never called and chosen, he received a calling only, by The Father, for he will not be raised up at the last day.
As a penultimate point I will draw your attention to John 15:16:
John 15:16 (MCV) Ye have not CHOSEN me, but I have CHOSEN you, and placed you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of The Father in my name, He may give it you.
The word ‘chosen’ used here, is again, ‘eklegomai’ and not ‘eklektos’. This confirms what I have already said about these as being second personal callings from Yashua Messiah in addition to The Father’s earlier call. However, the crucial part to all of this is that NONE of the twelve ACCEPTED Yashua Messiah as their saviour – ALL were CALLED and CHOSEN with the exception of Judas who was called only.
Finally I will post some Holy Scriptures from Paul’s letters where he emphasises our being CHOSEN and our CALLING in numerous places:
Romans 9:11 (MCV) (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election (having been chosen) might stand, not of works, but of Him (The Father) that CALLETH;
1 Corinthians 1:26-28 (MCV) For ye see your CALLING, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are CALLED: 27 But God hath CHOSEN the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath CHOSEN the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God CHOSEN, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought (zero) things that are:
Ephesians 1:18 (MCV) The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His CALLING, and what the riches of The Glory of His inheritance in the saints,
Ephesians 4:1 (MCV) I therefore, the captive of The Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the CALLING wherewith ye are CALLED,
Ephesians 4:4 (MCV) There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are CALLED in one hope of your CALLING;
2 Timothy 1:9 (MCV) Who hath saved us, AND CALLED US with an HOLY CALLING, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and Grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.
In Yashua Messiah’s name
